About The Role
We are looking for a Head of Finance – Logistics Transformation to lead the strategic modernisation of our Logistics Finance function. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be accountable for shaping and delivering a future-focused finance strategy and roadmap, alongside driving a cost transformation programme that ensures scalability, efficiency and measurable benefit realisation across the Logistics division.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on transformation and evolution in a business of significant scale, employing ~16,000 colleagues across operational, front-line and head office environments. You will partner closely with senior stakeholders across the business to translate the future vision into delivery, strengthening governance, enhancing financial discipline and embedding sustainable ways of working. Bringing your experience of leading financial change at a senior level within FMCG, Retail, logistics/transportation or manufacturing environments. This is a real opportunity to take ownership of a critical transformation agenda and redefine how finance operates at the heart of one of the UK’s most innovative logistics networks.
What You Will Do
* Strategic Leadership: Design and deliver a future-focused finance strategy and roadmap that supports the long-term growth of the Logistics business.
* Cost Transformation: Deliver a benefits realisation framework underpinned by a cost transformation programme to drive initiatives that improve efficiency, remove cost and deliver measurable financial benefits across the Logistics division.
* Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with senior stakeholders to translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insight that informs strategic decision making.
* Governance Frameworks: Establish robust governance and performance structures that embed financial discipline, transparency and accountability across the organisation.
* Leadership: Lead through a period of transformation, embedding new ways of working and scaling strong operational foundations.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance who thrives in fast-paced, operational environments such as FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or Logistics. You will have a proven background in leading finance transformation—owning the agenda, driving change, and modernising finance functions to deliver greater insight, efficiency, and value to the business.
* A qualified finance professional (e.g. ACA, CIMA or ACCA) ready to step into or continue thriving in a Head of Finance – Logistics Transformation Projects role.
* Proven ability to lead change, continuous improvement or transformation within a finance or operational environment.
* Strong analytical and data literacy skills, with the confidence to build a compelling story from financial and business information.
* A collaborative communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and work effectively across complex organisations.
* A pragmatic, action-oriented mindset with curiosity to challenge the status quo and deliver meaningful outcomes.
