About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Class Teacher to join a welcoming and well‑resourced mainstream primary school in Leyland. This is a 12‑month contract starting from Easter 2026, offering an exciting opportunity for a committed teacher to make a meaningful contribution to pupils’ learning and development.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver and assess high‑quality lessons in line with the Primary National Curriculum
Create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
Use effective behaviour management strategies that support positive learning
Contribute to the wider school community, including planning and attending school events
Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and work collaboratively with the SLT and wider staff team
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within a primary setting
Strong understanding of curriculum expectations and assessment frameworks
A proactive, reflective and child‑centred teaching approach
Excellent communication and organisational skills
