Te-Tech is part of the Trant Engineering Group and at Te-Tech, we design, custom build and install a wide range of high-quality control panels, motor control centres (MCC’s) and automation systems. We offer conventional, intelligent and withdrawable systems with outstanding reliability and functionality and deliver within the water, power and energy sectors.
We are currently recruiting for a Test Technician to join our workshop based at our Head Office in Southampton. As part of a team building control panels predominantly for the water, power and petrochemical industries, you will be responsible for testing and verifying outputs of control panels against design schematics including fault finding, diagnosis and repair.
This is a full-time role working 07:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Control panel fault finding and testing
2. Read instructions, schematics and technical drawings
3. Loom wiring, panel build soldering and machine wiring
4. Maintenance, fault finding and repair of MCCs / control panels
Skills/qualifications:
5. Experience of working as a Test Technician/Wireman in a fault-finding role
6. Be confident working to production deadlines with a can-do attitude
7. Strong communication skills
8. A history of working within the water, energy or power advantageous
