Role responsibilities
1. Support on the development and management of a project pipeline by prioritising and assessing the merits of individual projects according to certain scoring criteria to ensure that TfW has a steady and consistent flow of commercial projects from which to try and derive monetary and intangible value that can be reinvested into the transport network in Wales.
2. Develop new business cases for a wide-ranging scope of different value generating opportunities to enable the Commercial Development department to support projects that show best fit and return for TfW.
3. Support the delivery of the Commercialisation Strategy, including advertising, experiential, vending, parcel lockers, car parking and new income streams by managing a programme of works and projects, ensuring the associated plans are rolled-out according to set timelines and to budget - maximising return on Welsh Government's investment.
4. Support the commercial growth of existing operations by providing insight, analytical support advice and proposals to change where applicable, to ensure continuous improvement and best possible business performance - delivering customer-focused services, expert advice and infrastructure investment.
5. Project revenue generation management by liaising with the Finance Business Partner and supply chain to ensure timely and accurate financial planning and to achieve value for money.
6. Promote the introduction of commercial opportunities by influencing TfW business case writing and methodology to make TfW and its projects more financially sustainable.
Who we’re looking for
7. Experience in commercially focused role responsible for existing and new business development.
8. Experience of developing commercial income/revenue within large service delivery organisation (for example transport, leisure, hospitality, facilities management).
9. Programme and management skills, with experience of supporting the conception and delivery of high profile or high value schemes.
10. A good understanding of excel and analytical tools to support the Commercial Development and wider Commercial Property teams.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
