Independent Prescriber Pharmacist wanted in Health Centre Pharmacy

Christchurch Health-centre Braintree is a family-run business that incorporates Christchurch Pharmacy, Christchurch Clinics, and Christchurch Cares. It was born out of a strong desire to see people enjoy balanced, wholesome lives in a rapidly changing world. Christchurch Pharmacy has a robotic dispensary based in a GP Medical Centre, and Christchurch Clinics is a CQC-registered private GP Clinic on our High Street premises with six consultation rooms for our expanding clinical services.
As our IP Pharmacist, you will work with our private GP and her team, our PCN Pharmacists, and other local Pharmacists as the Lead of our IP Pathfinder Pilot, as well as our Clinical Pharmacists promoting high standards of clinical services. Our team includes a GP, three Pharmacists, Practice Manager, four ACTs, Healthcare Assistant, three Trainee Pharmacists, Dispensers, and Counter Assistants.
Qualities of an ideal candidate:
1. Must have Independent Prescriber status.
2. Completion or enrolment in CPPE PCPEP training or an equivalent program.
3. Excellent clinical and medication knowledge.
4. Experience in triaging patients.
5. Experience in handling blood results.
6. Experience in handling e-consultations.
7. Understanding and experience of working as a Pharmacist in a GP practice setting, with a confident approach.
8. Experience of undertaking New Medicines Services and Pharmacy First.
9. The ability to be adaptable, flexible, and a proactive problem solver.
10. Ability to lead, direct, and motivate the team while promoting high standards of clinical practice.
11. Capability to develop strong relationships and facilitate communication between the Pharmacy Team, Clinic team, local GP surgeries, and the PCN.
12. Ability to proactively contribute to the growth and development of the business area, with accountability for all statutory and professional duties within the Pharmacy.
13. Ideally, have a background in Community Pharmacy.
Job Details:
* Type: Full-time (40 hours, Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm)
* Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per year
* Benefits: Company pension, free on-site parking
* Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
* Location: Braintree CM7 2AE (reliable commute or relocation preferred)
* Education: Master's degree (required)
* Experience: Pharmacist with at least 3 years of experience (required)
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Designated Prescribing Practitioners (DPP)
2. Attend Clinical Supervision Group Sessions for IP Pathfinder
3. Conduct clinical audits
