Overview of the role:
This role reports to the Research Admin Service Lead and works as part of the wider Enterprise Systems team within IT Services. Working with technical and non-technical teams the role will provide support for the Research Admin applications in use in the University. These include but are not limited to: -
· Pure
· Worktribe
· REMAS
· LIMS
· Inteum (Minuet)
The role will provide support in ongoing maintenance and ticket resolution for the Research Admin applications. Some travel may be required for meetings and training (predominately between Quintrell Downs in Cornwall and university campuses in London) Main objectives will be: -
· Monitoring of data and Interfaces up and downstream
· Incident resolution
· Problem resolution
· Availability management
· Capacity Management
· Vendor liaison
Accountabilities:
· Monitor availability of all systems and resolve issues when they occur
· Manage incoming incidents to ensure they are resolved within the defined Service Levels
· Take a proactive attitude to problem management
· Ensure interfaces between systems work in a timely manner and to specification
· Attend meetings to ensure Research Admin applications are adhering to Service Product Strategies
· Document any change requests so they can be represented at the CAB
· Prepare and maintain any documentation pertaining to Research Admin applications
· Support other team members, both in the Research Admin team and the wider Enterprise Systems team as a whole
· Carry out other tasks as agreed with the Research Admin Service Lead and Head of Enterprise Systems
