Job Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioners to join our team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery setting. Duties:
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being of each child
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the nursery
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong understanding of child development principles and practices
- Ability to engage and connect with children on an individual level
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Organizational skills to plan activities and manage time effectively
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
- Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare)
- First Aid certification (desirable)
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
This is a term time only position, with the ideal candidates being able to work on a shift pattern basis between the hours of 7.45am-4.00pm, Monday to Friday.
