This is a key leadership role as a Deputy General Manager (Clinical) at Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of high-quality care homes. You will support the General Manager in delivering exceptional care and services, leading a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
* Act as Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead, overseeing the delivery of quality care and leading the team in the General Manager's absence.
* Conduct regular audits of care standards, supervise clinical practice, and manage safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
* Motivate the multidisciplinary team and develop strategies to achieve goals.
* Provide HR support, manage budgeting, and contribute to sales and marketing initiatives.
* Work two 12‑hour shifts on the floor and 16 supervisory hours per week.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification.
* Experience caring for residents with varied health needs and a successful track record in safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
* HR experience, strong knowledge of sales and marketing, understanding of budget management, and support for newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
