Finance Business Partner – Head office, Leicestershire, Ibstock LE67 6HS.
Responsibilities
* Production of monthly management accounts with precise analysis and insights, including variance analysis and KPIs.
* Support preparation of forecasts and budgets for all elements of P&L.
* Control capital spend.
* Participate in regular review meetings with stakeholders and budget holders to manage costs and advise on performance.
* Conduct variance analysis with supporting commentaries and analysis.
* Prepare and review monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations to identify and eliminate risk.
* Support the annual statutory reporting process.
* Provide assistance and good‑practice training to factories on finance and internal controls.
* Implement and monitor financial controls across all departments/sites, ensuring adherence.
* Respond to audit questions and requirements from the Group and external auditors.
* Partner with operations and commercial teams to drive business performance.
Qualifications & Experience
* Understanding of trading conditions.
* Understanding of key business drivers.
* Knowledge of company culture and processes.
* Detailed understanding of accounting – price, margin and cost.
* Understanding of price‑volume analysis.
* Experience with forecasting and planning.
* Knowledge of stock/demand and supply process.
* Experience with financial systems and controls.
* Familiarity with internal control environment.
* Inventory management experience.
* Manufacturing experience.
* Solid balance‑sheet understanding.
* Negotiation and influencing skills.
* Self‑starter with a "can‑do" attitude.
* Initiative.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written.
* IT/systems experience – JDE, Hubble and Cognos preferable.
* Recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
* Strong Excel skills.
