The Role
As SENCo, you will have responsibility for overseeing SEND provision and ensuring students with additional needs are identified early and supported effectively. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing SEND provision across the school
* Overseeing identification, assessment, and support for students with SEND
* Managing and reviewing EHCPs and statutory processes
* Advising and supporting teachers on inclusive strategies and differentiation
* Line-managing SEND support staff and contributing to their development
* Coordinating interventions and monitoring impact and progress
* Working closely with parents, specialists, and local authority professionals
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with SEND legislation
