What you’ll do
This exciting role entails the responsibilty of working on Vodafone´s policy approach to security polict and regulation topics.
This role with cover key security policy priorities including: the role of telecoms providers in contributing to national resilience; how Vodafone supports Europe’s vision for technological sovereignty; public/private partnership opportunities in response to emerging technologies ( AI, post-quantum cryptography) and hybrid threats
You will report into the Head of Government Security & Regulation team within the Vodafone Group Corportate security team and work closely with the public affairs team and wider public policy teams.
1. Monitor and analyse developments in security policy and regulation impacting Vodafone globally, with a key focus on the EU.
2. Develop policy positions and support consultation responses and engagement plans for security topics, working closely with colleagues in Vodafone´s EU engagement office.
3. Develop narratives that can be used by Vodafone with key external security stakeholders (EU, NATO, Industry Associations) and at key fora including.
4. Prepare Vodafone Senior Leadership for political engagement on Security topics and integrate security considerations into broader policy messaging for Vodafone.
Who you are
5. You have excellent writing and analytical skills
6. You have excellent communications skills
7. You have experience drafting policy positions and consultation responses
8. You are familiar with the EU legislative process and how to influence policy outcomes
9. You have strong knowledge base of security policy topics, and familiarity with the telecommunications industry
10. You can demonstrate thought leadership around the growing signifcnce of security policy and the increaseing focus on the associated and increasing risks
11. You are familiar with the EU political landscapes and understand how Security topics are evolving
12. You are comfortable representing and organisation to external stakeholders
