Based at the brand’s corporate office in London, the global social media manager defines, directs and executes Dorchester Collection’s social media strategy across all major platforms.
This role plays a crucial role in shaping Dorchester Collection’s visual identity and driving brand recognition through creative storytelling and curated social-first content aligned to the company’s overall marketing strategy.
As well as managing the global social media accounts on all owned platforms, the role acts as the brand guardian and strategic counsel for hotel-level social platforms, ensuring industry-leading execution through enticing, brand-building storytelling and content creation, culturally resonant influencer activations, engaging community and reputation management, performance analytics, luxury industry and trend-led insights and best practice sharing.
The global social media manager works collaboratively as part of the global marketing team, under the direction of the head of communications, and shapes and leads social activations in alignment with the company’s cohesive omnichannel strategy.

What you'll do
This role is responsible for the following:
Global social media strategy
11. Define, direct and implement a social media strategy for all current and possible future brand channels underpinned by Dorchester Collection’s positioning as an ultra-luxury hospitality brand
12. Work closely with the creative and digital teams to ensure the social media strategy aligns with global marketing objectives and supports overall commercial goals
13. Act as social media strategic lead for local hotel teams to ensure all local hotel and F&B handles aligns with global vision and strategy
14. With the support of the global social media executive, plan and execute the global content calendar (grid aesthetic, scheduling and posting) of
15. Dorchester Collection’s brand social media channels in line with always-on content strategy and campaign initiatives
Social-first content creation
16. Work closely with the creative team to oversee and deliver social-first content in line with the company’s overall visual identity and TOV for owned and paid platforms
17. Oversee content production; develop and maintain relationships with new and future on-brand content creators to amplify key moments across the portfolio
18. Hotel alignment and strategic counsel
19. Advise individual hotel teams on social media campaigns; ensure hotel efforts and activations are in line with the corporate strategy and integrated within the hotels’ marketing plans
20. Keep global and local teams informed on emerging trends, best practice and tools through regular knowledge-sharing sessions designed to maintain Dorchester Collection’s position as an industry-leader on social media
21. Be the social media subject matter expert to key in-house stakeholders; e.g. people and culture, regional sales
Earned media: influencer and brand advocacy strategy
22. Evolve and lead the execution of Dorchester Collection’s influencer strategy aligned with overall brand positioning and target market strategy
23. Cultivate and manage partnerships with international influencers to build ‘social proof’ of Dorchester Collection’s brand positioning
24. Act as brand-guardian for hotel-level activations, ensuring alignment between local and global strategies
Performance measurement frameworks
25. Design a measurement framework to ensure social campaigns deliver on KPIs, target market impact and brand awareness goals
26. Implement a data-driven approach through optimising analytical tools and social listening
Community Management
27. Oversee daily community management on brand platforms
28. Implement and oversee social media reputation, a digital guest outreach mindset and issue/crisis management action plans
Budget, platform and resource management
29. Own and champion Dorchester Collection’s social media and influencer marketing activation tools, including facilitating ongoing training for global teams
30. Manage the global social media budget
What you'll bring
31. A background in creating, leading and delivering social media strategies, preferably at a global or multi-brand level
32. Strategic self-starter with strong follow-through; ability to manage multiple projects
33. Understanding of Dorchester Collection’s brand positioning and target market expectations
34. A natural collaborator with a passion for cohesive, omnichannel marketing
35. Expert knowledge of social media and influencer tools: scheduling, publishing, reporting and analytics and doing things differently
36. Experience in managing influencer marketing activations and content creator relationships
37. Strong analytical skills and commercial understanding
38. Excellent communications skills, experience in issue/crisis management an advantage
