What we look for We’re looking for a Claims Insight Analyst to join our Motor Claims team—someone who thrives on turning complex data into actionable insight. In 2024, DLG spent approaching £2 billion on Motor Claims. Your role will be pivotal in analysing this spend, the associated operational performance, forecasting future trends, and delivering insight that drives smarter decisions, improves operational efficiency, and enhances profitability. This role is about more than just reporting. It’s about storytelling with data, using it to develop understanding, challenge assumptions, uncover opportunities and inform strategy. What You’ll Be Doing Develop and deliver accurate, timely, and commercially focused management information (MI) across financial and operational performance within Motor Claims. Partner with stakeholders to design and implement fit-for-purpose insight and KPIs that support strategic, operational, and commercial decision-making. Provide forecasting and trend analysis on key cost drivers, including indemnity spend, revenue generation, and operational efficiency/efficacy. Support business-as-usual and strategic change initiatives with robust data analysis and insight. Continuously improve the quality and relevance of MI, proactively identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency. Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives that influence senior stakeholders and contribute to the profitability of Direct Line Group. Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making across the Motor Claims function. What We’re Looking For You’ll be a self-starter who is curious about data and has an aptitude for data analysis, is highly detail-oriented and has an appetite for problem solving. Other skills: A curious, analytical mindset with a passion for sharing insight. Some experience in data analysis, with an ability to interpret and communicate complex data clearly to non-technical audiences. Some proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI or similar software is desirable. An initiative-taking problem-solver who can challenge the status quo and bring fresh thinking to the table. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
