Role overview
An opportunity for a Building Services Operations Manager to lead hard services delivery across a large and varied estate of 400+ buildings and assets. The role is responsible for statutory compliance, health & safety, financial control and contract performance across HVAC, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), plumbing, drainage and building fabric services.
You will lead an in-house contract management team, manage external suppliers and drive continuous improvement, sustainability and value for money.
Key responsibilities
Lead, manage and develop a building services contract management team.
Procure, manage and monitor hard services contracts, ensuring full statutory and health & safety compliance.
Oversee building services works from specification and tender through to delivery and performance management.
Manage budgets and financial planning, ensuring cost-effective service delivery.
Produce regular compliance and performance reports for senior stakeholders.
Audit contractor performance against KPIs and SLAs, driving service improvements.
Provide technical advice and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver sustainable solutions. Essential requirements
Degree or HNC/HND in a Facilities or Building Services discipline (or equivalent experience).
Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IWFM, IFMA, RICS, CIBSE, MCIOB, ICE or similar) or equivalent experience.
NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and compliance.
Proven experience managing hard services contracts and large budgets.
Experience leading and developing professional teams. Skills

Strong contract, commercial and reporting capability.
