Job Description

The Embedded Engineer – Mobile Telematics will support the development and maintenance of embedded software for telematics systems used across our construction equipment product lines.

This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with a strong academic background and a passion for working at the intersection of hardware and software. The engineer will contribute to the integration of sensors, controllers, and communications interfaces to help connect machines to our digital ecosystem.

About The Role

* Assist in the development and testing of embedded software used in telematics devices for mobile construction equipment.
* Support the integration of hardware interfaces such as CAN bus and diagnostic protocols (e.g., J1939).
* Contribute to implementation and testing of cellular connectivity, GPS, and wireless communication features.
* Participate in code development, troubleshooting, and system verification activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
* Work with cross-functional teams to support hardware bring-up, firmware validation, and field testing.
* Help maintain documentation, version control, and issue tracking systems in alignment with engineering processes.

Skills Needed

* Exposure to embedded systems development (coursework, internships, or personal projects).
* Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, J1939, or cellular connectivity is a plus.
* Basic programming experience in C or C++.
