Our fundraising manager provides specialist fundraising expertise for our Torbay and South Devon NHS Charity. They are an integral part of our small Charity team, responsible for the development and delivery of our fundraising strategy.
Central to this role is a strong working relationship with Charity and communications colleagues, fund managers, donors, and others. The post holder will be at the centre of a wide inter-departmental network, aimed at maximising benefits to people who use our services by helping to make things better.
While working as part of a small professional Charity team and alongside colleagues from our Corporate Trustee, the post holder is expected to work independently within guidelines and Charity Law. They will lead on building our supporter base, meeting fundraising targets, and diversifying income streams. Please note interviews will be held on 11th and 12th June.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the smooth day-to-day running of our Torbay and South Devon NHS Charity, leading our fundraising team and function. Raise the profile of our Charity and act as our representative in negotiations and relationships with third parties, always acting in good faith and ethically.
2. Develop and deliver our Fundraising Strategy and annual workplan. Provide fundraising advice to fund managers and senior managers for grant applications.
3. Meet fundraising targets and develop new income streams. Manage campaigns and appeals to attract new donors and retain existing supporters.
4. Create supporter care journeys and informational materials to inform supporters about legacy giving and donations in memory of loved ones.
5. Support compliance with Charity Commission policies, NHS policies, monitoring, evaluation, and grant recording and monitoring.
