Job Duties
To provide training to university departments and activities ensuring compliance with responsible programs to include state guidelines and the rues governing higher education. To affect the procurement of routine to moderate goods and services in a prompt, accurate and professional manner. To procure commodities assigned in response to the requirements set forth by the University in accordance with the Commonwealth of Virginia directives of the Higher Education Restructuring Manual and regulations, ensuring that quality goods and services are purchased in a timely manner at a reasonable cost. To administer contract compliance and to ensure that quality goods and services are procured in a timely manner at a reasonable cost and in accordance with the Higher Education Procurement Manual.
Minimum Qualifications
Considerable knowledge of contract law principles, experience with e-procurement and automated procurement systems. Significant knowledge and experience with public procurement laws, policies and procedures. Considerable knowledge and experience with spreadsheets and database software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Knowledge leading and training management teams and improving business processes. Significant knowledge and experience with developing and conducting formal classes as required. Knowledge and experience with conducting research and analysis using quantitative methods and writing work related reports.
