The successful apprentice will become part of a team that plays a vital role in supporting the schools digital environment. Guided by experienced professionals, they will develop essential IT skills while contributing to the smooth running of a school. In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: To undertake routine maintenance tasks (for example cleaning of projectors, replenishment of printer paper/cartridges etc). To provide technical advice, support and assistance to network users to enable them to make full use of resources, services and facilities. To provide first-line fault diagnosis and repair of faulty hardware. To ensure a high level of customer care at all times. To support other team members in documenting work completed and maintaining records such as the inventory. To install and configure new IT equipment and to source and test new software. To demonstrate high regard for data protection/GDPR processes and procedures. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team. Grade 5 in GCSE English and Grade 4 in GCSE Maths. 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English. IT or Computing qualification. GCSE or A-Level in a Design Technology subject such as Product Design or Engineering. Your Training with Baltic: This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.
