Russell Taylor has an excellent opportunity to step into a Junior Maintenance Engineer role in a food manufacturing environment! As a Junior Engineer, you will assist in maintaining and improving the efficiency and reliability of production equipment and machinery.
The Role:
* Perform regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of food production machinery and equipment, including conveyor systems, packaging machines, and processing equipment.
* Quickly and accurately diagnose faults and breakdowns in both mechanical and electrical systems, working to minimise downtime and disruption to production.
* Work alongside the production team to ensure that all equipment runs at optimal efficiency, while adhering to food safety and health regulations.
* Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement.
The candidate:
* Hold a NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (essential).
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues effectively.
* Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for long periods, lifting equipment, and operating tools.
* Welding experience or 18th edition would be advantageous.
* Previous experience working in a production environment.
