Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for a CNC Turner/Programmer/Setter/Operator to join an engineering company based in Milton Keynes that manufactures high precision CNC milled and turned components from solid and cast in a wide range of metals and plastics for a variety of industry sectors.
Responsibilities
* Programming/Setting/Operating across MAZAK and Doosan CNC machine centres, ideally within a fast-paced precision engineering environment.
* Knowledge of either Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.
* Carrying out in-process dimensional and visual checks using the appropriate measuring equipment, with a good understanding of engineering drawings.
* Managing a wide range of metals and plastics.
* Communicating effectively and solving problems; able to work efficiently to deadlines.
* On occasion, minding multiple machines and working with a degree of autonomy.
* Working hours: Monday-Thursday 14:00-22:00; Friday 13:00-20:00.
Requirements
* Experience in Programming/Setting/Operating across MAZAK and Doosan CNC machine centres, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of Fanuc or Mazatrol controls.
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and in-process checks with appropriate measuring equipment.
* Experience with metals and plastics.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently with multiple machines if required.
* Confident to work autonomously.
