Passionate Butchery Manager is required for popular and busy farm shop based in the middle of the Cheshire's 'Golden Triangle' of Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Prestbury.

The shop is famous for its steaks, taken from locally bred livestock and aged in Cheshire's first Himalayan Salt Chamber, improving good local produce into great produce. We introduced The Big Green Egg and Kamado Joe BBQs into the area..
We require a competent, knowledgeable, and personable and QUALIFIED butcher to help lead the team in providing fantastic produce through great personal service to a discerning clientele. All our butchers and counter staff love to advise our customers in the right meat for various meals, giving advice on cooking methods and timings etc.
Job Responsibilities
· Follow already set policies and procedures.
· Set up the serve-over in an attractive and organised manner encouraging sales.
Keeping the various multi-decks full, with correctly packaged, weighed and priced produce.
Creative Flair and Imagination for retail
· Ordering produce in a timely manner.
· Receive deliveries, checking they what you ordered and then inspecting for quality and quantity
· Prepare meat into forms ready for cooking using a variety of actions, including boning, tying, grinding, mincing, cutting and trimming to make it easier for customers.
· Educate customers on different selections and types of poultry, pork, beef and lamb to help them decide what to purchase.
· Rotate products to reduce the chance of any meat spoiling to reduce waste and loss of profits.
· Maintain and clean the meat preparation counter to reduce the risk of food contamination and adhere to food safety guidelines.
· Making sure online and telephone orders are ready and correct in time for delivering
Job Requirements, Skills & Qualifications
· You will have 1-2 years' experience as a butcher
· You will have some full body butchery experience
· You will have bacon and sausage making experience.
· You will have excellent communication skills
Local deliveries where necessary
be able to deal, produce and package any online orders ready for collection by courrier
· You will be confident in suggesting improvements in product quality, customer service etc.
· You will have excellent customer facing experience
· You will be able to train the team around you including some under 18s
· You will need to be able to get to SK10 4LL for 7-30am.
· You will need to be able to work under the owner's direction
· A knowledge of food safety systems is referred
· A BBQ knowledge is an advantage
5/7 days and includes weekends
