Role: Under Frame Cleaner

Salary: £32,745 per annum
Job Purpose
* To undertake the external cleaning of rail vehicles to a high standard of cleanliness.
* To ensure the depot environment is kept clean and to a high standard cleanliness
* To ensure compliance with all Health and Safety and Environmental Legislation.
* To ensure that all relevant procedures and instructions are adhered to and discharged in a professional and timely manner by all staff.
* To ensure that job specific activities do not introduce unacceptable business and safety risks to any aspect of the Company’s operation, and that the appropriate policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to, ensuring that all such activities comply with the relevant sections of the Safety Case and the current Safety Plan.
* To provide onsite training to both in-house and agency staff in Chilterns cleaning processes and use of associated machinery.
Key Accountabilities
* To acknowledge and work to all relevant fleet standards and procedures, as issued via the Production Management.
* To fully co-operate and work to improve measures and systems designed to increase productivity and the efficiency of the cleaning activity, as directed by the Production Management.
* To fully co-operate and encourage good housekeeping and health and safety activities within the relevant location.
* To act in a disciplined manner and to follow management instructions and requests promptly.
* Give customers a positive impression of yourself and our organisation.
* To fully co-operate with the Network Rail Rule book, provisions and documentation.
* To undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the company.

* Ability to work in confined spaces
* Willingness to work shifts including nights and weekends
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* High attention to detail
* Ability to carry out physically demanding duties in engineering environment
* Must be able to pass CRCL drugs and alcohol test
