My client is looking for an experienced Shop Floor Supervisor to take ownership of production operations and lead from the front in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, interim role where youll play a critical part in keeping production running efficiently, safely, and on schedule.

What Youll Be Doing As Shop Floor Supervisor, youll be responsible for the day-to-day management of production and people on the shop floor. Your focus will be on delivering against production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supporting production teams to meet daily targets
Ensuring all staff are equipped with correct kits, work orders, and SOPs
Driving a safe, compliant, and high-performing work environment
Managing labour allocation to meet production demands
Monitoring productivity and ensuring teams are working to full efficiency
Conducting stock checks and perpetual inventory (PI) activities
Ensuring all products are correctly identified and located on the shop floor
Responding to and escalating machinery or plant issues
Challenging non-conformance and implementing corrective actions
Collaborating with planning, maintenance, and other support functions
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity
Ensuring internal delivery processes are followed to meet dispatch deadlines

Essential experience:
Proven track record in manufacturing supervision or management
Experience in high-volume production environments (automotive preferred)
Key skills & attributes:
Strong leadership with a lead by example mindset
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Confident communicator with the ability to influence and motivate teams
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to changing priorities
Comfortable working with minimal supervision
Computer literate
Full UK driving licence
