Legal Counsel – Lancashire, UK (Hybrid)
A leading global technology and engineering consultancy is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its in-house legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded legal professional to support business growth and operational performance across a diverse portfolio of projects.
The Role
The Legal Counselwill provide legal support across the full contract lifecycle, working on both national and international agreements. The role involves advising stakeholders, managing legal risks, and contributing to the development of legal frameworks and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Support bid processes from proposal review to contract execution
* Draft and negotiate a range of commercial contracts, including NDAs and service agreements
* Provide independent legal advice aligned with group strategy
* Manage legal matters for designated business units
* Monitor legal and regulatory developments
* Escalate and report contractual and legal risks
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and legal colleagues
* Mentor junior legal team members and contribute to legal training
Ideal Candidate
* Strong experience in commercial contract law, ideally within technology or engineering sectors
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues is a plus
Location
Lancashire, UK – as little as one day per week in the office.
