We are currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join our team in Chichester, offering opportunities for training and personal development. This role is ideal for individuals interested in starting a career in payroll or recent school leavers.
The Payroll Assistant should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, good time management, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Due to the sensitive nature of the role, adherence to strict security and confidentiality protocols is essential to maintain the integrity of employee and company data and systems.
The successful candidate will provide accurate payroll services by the specified deadlines to over 1,200 clients across various industries. There will be opportunities to support internal and client projects aimed at improving efficiency and adding value. Building trusted relationships with clients and taking accountability for work are key expectations for all payroll team members.
Responsibilities include:
* Raising quarterly fees for additional work
* Handling client monthly data requests
* Reviewing client data for completeness
* Processing monthly/weekly payroll
* Responding to client payroll inquiries via email
* Completing weekly timesheets accurately
* Participating in regular team meetings
* Performing administrative tasks as required
* Meeting Payroll team KPIs
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
* A-C grades in A Levels (desirable)
* A methodical work approach
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Effective prioritization skills
* Proactive communication and willingness to seek help when needed
