Graduate / Junior Power Systems Engineer - EPC

Join a fast-growing engineering company leading the delivery of grid-scale energy storage and power infrastructure projects across the UK. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work across the full EPC project lifecycle - from concept design and grid studies to detailed design, construction, and commissioning - supporting the UK's transition to net zero.
You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering team, gaining hands-on experience in power system studies, grid integration, and HV substation design, with mentorship from experienced industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
* Support senior engineers in conducting power system studies including load flow, fault level, protection coordination, harmonic, and dynamic analysis.
* Assist with preparing design documentation, single line diagrams (SLDs), and schematics for HV substations and BESS grid connections.
* Perform data collection, model building, and simulations using tools such as DIg SILENT Power Factory, ETAP, PSCAD, or IPSA.
* Collaborate across electrical, protection, and civil teams within an EPC delivery environment to ensure high-quality technical outcomes.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of power systems, protection, and control principles.
* Familiarity with power system modelling software (PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD, or IPSA).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with enthusiasm to grow within the renewable energy and EPC sector.
