This is an interesting, varied and demanding post registering births, deaths, stillbirths, marriages and civil partnerships and dealing with all customer enquiries to our dedicated Contact Centre. We are looking for a pro-active person who is organised, flexible, resilient, and able to adapt to the widely differing demands of our customers. The post is based in Dorchester, but you will be working in any of the registration offices in the county as required when registering and you will be based in Dorchester at the Registration Service head office whilst working in the Contact Centre or when undertaking various administration duties. You should have a proven record of delivering outstanding customer service within a public-facing environment. You will need excellent attention to detail, and you must also be able to work accurately and independently under pressure. IT skills are integral to this role, and we are looking for a candidate with excellent skills who can pro-actively resolve issues and adapt to new technology as required.
