Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Sales Office Manager that will be responsible for the development and execution of a pro-active strategic approach to sales across the hotel including accommodation, F&B, weddings and events. In doing so create a high performing team that secures and develops new business, while growing existing accounts for the hotels to drive incremental sales and achieve targets and KPIs as set.
Duties
* Develop, monitor and adjust sales and pricing strategies based on sound commercial judgement through effective analysis to ensure RGI targets are achieved.
* Maintain up-dated city events calendar ensuring hotel is optimising sales on all market compression dates
* Provide business evaluation and recommendations aligned to the hotels business goals optimising the profitability of the hotels Conference and Group mix.
* Drive incremental EBITDA, RevPAR and Fair Market Share performance.
* Ensure robust process in place to maximise revenue capture in all departments.
* Coaching sales office team to build professional connections with their customers and be contact of choice for their business placement requirements.
* Support the team with management from initial enquiry stage through to the handover to hotel operational teams. Ensure team are producing detailed functions sheets for all meeting and events with all required information for the successful delivery of client bookings.
* Being the main point of contact for your team with regular feedback and 1-2-1's with follow up documented evidence.
* Driving motivation and engagement within the sales office team with a focus on delivering consistently strong results against agreed KPI's and Objectives.
* Demonstrate excellent re-active and pro-active sales skills throughout all customer interactions and correspondence
* Maximising revenue and conversion of all opportunities.
* Spot checking interactions with our customers to understand trends/insights and share feedback to the business to identify opportunities for improvements and maximise revenue.
* Ensuring that sales office team have all up to date information and have received/completed all required training.
* Preparing required information and contributing to weekly Commercial Calls, ensuring that all allocated actions are completed in line with deadlines.
* Management of customer feedback including responding to guest problems and complaints.
* Take ownership for recurring challenges and ensure the issues are resolved.
* Brand and product knowledge/competitor and market insight
Qualifications
● Organised and systematic with the ability to support development and implementation of MICE strategy
● Strong leadership experience within the customer experience/hospitality industry
● Proven track record of building and maintaining high performing teams
● Adaptable to change and supporting through that journey
● An "always curious" attitude – not afraid to challenge the norm
● Understanding of the hospitality and travel industry
