You will work within a highly skilled and qualified welding team and will use a variety of jigs, fixtures, welding plant and manipulators to assemble and weld a wide range of products to exacting standards. Your responsibilities as a Welder: * To carry out all required welding work to produce components and products to the highest standard * To acquire the knowledge and qualifications for welding the complete size & range of products ensuring the necessary quality standards are achieve * To carry out basic assembly related work * To assist in other production related tasks, when required by the line team leader or Production Manager as appropriate within the line or wider production department * To assist Production engineering department in developing and maintaining assembly shop floor documentation. * To work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures as set out by the company, especially regarding Manual handling and PPE * Support customer inspection activity * To maintain all welding equipment & hand tools in good working condition and keep the welding bays tidy & organised in line with company housekeeping standards * To assist in development of new production methods, to assist in improvements to the present product lines or development of new products * Perform TPM and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and fixtures as requested * To support continuous improvement activity and take an active role in the implementation of improvements To be successful as a Welder you will have: * Minimum 5 years of TIG & MIG welding experience within high technology production / manufacturing company * Experience of welder coding * Experience in welding stainless steel to a very high standard * Production experience in a small batch capital investment goods environment * Good PC skills to include knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel & Outlook If you have the relevant experience our client is looking for in this Welder role, we would like to hear from you.
