Manufacturing Engineer Tooling & Design Focus ?? Church Gresley, near Swadlincote, UK ?? Up to £45,000 | Full-Time | Flexible WFH (Ideally On-Site 5 Days/Week) We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong understanding of tooling and basic design to join our team in Church Gresley. This is a hands-on, site-based role supporting a wide range of engineering activities, from tooling support to new product development. ?? The Role Youll play a key part in driving improvements across our manufacturing processes, supporting both ongoing production and new projects. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting and developing tooling we manage over 1000 tools Investigating and resolving shop floor issues including damaged tooling and rejected parts Performing root cause analysis on tooling problems and implementing corrective actions Working on New Product Development (NPD) projects at the ME level Reviewing and amending CAD designs checking, signing off and holding design authority Collaborating with design teams using a recognised CAD/design package (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) Applying Lean principles to improve processes Yellow/Green Belt desirable Driving process improvements and implementing long-term solutions ?? About You Youre a problem-solver with a passion for improving manufacturing processes and supporting production teams. Youll bring: 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in a tooling-heavy environment Familiarity with tooling design, CAD models, and design sign-off procedures A working knowledge of Lean tools and techniques (Yellow/Green Belt an advantage) Strong hands-on and practical problem-solving skills on the shop floor Excellent communication and collaboration abilities ?? Location & Flexibility This role is based at our facility in Church Gresley, near Swadlincote, UK. While there is some flexibility for WFH when needed, we are ideally looking for someone who can be on-site 5 days per week due to the hands-on nature of the role. ??
