The role
As a key player in the Regional (Europe, Middle East and Africa) MedTech Communications & Public Affairs Team, you will develop strategic, integrated communications strategies that align with business objectives. You will create compelling narratives that increase awareness of diseases and highlight our latest innovations to strengthen our reputation and drive business impact in our must-win areas across our Electrophysiology, Orthopaedics and Surgery business units. This is a critical position that partners with the Business Unit Vice Presidents, EMEA Commercial and Marketing teams and Global and Market Communicators.

Role responsibilities
Strategy development and implementation
* Develop and deliver integrated communications strategies aligned with business priorities.
* Support the implementation in priority geographies in coordination with country communicators and business partners.
* Collaborate closely and provide strategic communications guidance to Regional Business Unit Leaders.
* Shape the EMEA editorial calendar aligned to business priorities.
* Support on the management of crises and issues management as per the company’s guidelines.
Content creation
* Use a mix of communications channels (paid, earned and owned) and tactics to tell compelling stories that reach target audiences and drive impact.
* Bring a strong understanding of communications trends and insights to inform approaches and increase outcomes.
* Manage third parties, including agencies and vendors.
Communications Operations
* Act as a brand custodian, ensuring alignment to brand guidelines across all communications and champion the brand transformation.
* Contribute to ongoing analytics and reporting for EMEA communications and identify areas of opportunity.
* Manage the copy review process for in-scope communications.
Desired skills and experience
* Strong in written and spoken English – native or fully fluent.
* Experience in prioritization and managing multiple stakeholders.
* Ability to balance strategic thinking with creativity, asset creation and content management.
* Demonstrated experience in strategic communications with: strategic planning, product/innovation communications, stakeholder engagement, and media relations.
* A strong collaborator, skilled in strengthening relationships with business and communications partners at the regional and country level, and agency management.
* Confident in using data and analytics to inform communications activities and strategy.
* Bonus: experience in operating in a highly matrixed, global organization.
