Architectural Technologist
Location: Surrey
Salary: £35000-£40000 (dependent on experience)
A well-established, design-led architectural practice based in Surrey is seeking a skilled and motivated Architectural Technologist to join its growing team. This RIBA-chartered studio is known for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, retail, and education. The practice offers a collaborative and supportive environment that promotes technical excellence, innovation, and ongoing professional development.
The role of Architectural Technologist will involve:
* Leading and supporting retail design and fit-out projects from concept through to completion
* Producing and coordinating detailed technical drawings and construction information
* Preparing specifications and Scope of Works documentation
* Coordinating technical information across internal teams, consultants, and contractors
* Liaising with clients and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
* Supporting project programming, coordination, and site activities where required
* Ensuring full compliance with UK Building Regulations and industry standards
* Managing workload across multiple live projects to meet deadlines
The successful Architectural Technologist will have:
* Relevant degree or qualification in Architectural Technology
* Significant experience within a UK-based architectural practice
* Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction methods
* Proficiency in Revit is essential
* Experience producing detailed specifications and Scope of Works documents
* Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Proven ability to manage workload and perform well under pressure
