About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity to join our excellent Finance team as a Financial Analyst as part of the wider Corporate Services community. In this role you will be maintaining financial processes, systems and controls as well as analysing and reporting on financial performance. This role is key to ensuring we promote effective financial management across OS.
As Financial Analyst you will also support the development and maintenance of controls and procedures and process accounting entries to ensure compliance with legislation and statutory audit requirements. You will also find yourself supporting development and maintenance of systems and processes to ensure effective planning, monitoring, and reporting of financial performance and position, so it's important you are analytical with attention to detail.
A key part of this role will be providing advice and educating stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliance with financial policies and to promote understanding of financial information. You will be working closely with our Finance Business Partners to report accurate financial information for our business units and expert functions. You will also be supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting and analysis of financial performance and position whilst supporting planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

What we are looking for
* Advanced Excel skills
* Qualified or working towards qualification of ACA, ACCA or CIMA beneficial but also will consider qualified by experience
* D365 experience desired but not essential
* Expertise in reporting solutions for example Power BI desirable
* Ability to effectively plan & prioritize work, meeting deadlines in fast paced environment
* Strong analytical skills, questions data & looks for root cause

* Salary - £36,911 to £43,063 (dependent on experience)

Location: We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire where you will be required to spend at least 2-3 days a week.
