Cambridgeshire County Council is currently seeking six experienced Social Workers to join their Children’s Assessment teams across multiple locations.

About the Role
As a Social Worker within Cambridgeshire’s Children’s Services, you’ll work with children and families to deliver high-quality, relationship-based practice that promotes safety, stability, and positive outcomes. You’ll hold a manageable caseload and receive consistent support from a stable management structure committed to reflective supervision and professional growth.
* Hybrid working – a balance of office, home, and community-based work.
* Compressed hours (5 days in 4) or a 9-day fortnight available from day one (subject to team/service agreement).

* Competitive salary: £40,735 – £43,516 per annum.

* Retention payments rewarding your continued commitment:
After 1 year: £1,018 (2.5% of base).
After 2 years: £3,055 (7.5% of base).
After 3 years: £4,074 (10% of base).
Total over 3 years: up to £8,147, plus £1,500 annually thereafter.

About You
You’ll be a SWE-registered Social Worker with post-qualification experience in children’s services. You’ll have a strong understanding of safeguarding practice, risk management, and strengths-based approaches. You’ll bring curiosity, empathy, and resilience to your work with children and families, and thrive in a supportive, multi-agency environment.
