SEN Teaching Assistant - Chesterfield (1:1 & SEND Support Roles)
Location: Chesterfield & surrounding areas
Working Pattern: Flexible (minimum 3 days per week)
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with primary schools across Chesterfield looking for skilled support staff to work on a one-to-one basis or within SEND provisions.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, supporting pupils who require additional guidance to thrive in a mainstream or specialist setting.
About the Role
Providing dedicated 1:1 support for primary-aged pupils with additional needs
Supporting children with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH
Working within mainstream classrooms or specialist SEND settings
Helping pupils access learning in a way that suits their individual needs
Building strong, trusting relationships to support emotional and academic development
Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement support strategies
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis in a primary school or within a SEND setting
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above (preferred)
A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
Confidence managing behaviour and supporting additional needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Availability for at least 3 days per week
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
