About Ashbourne
Established over 40 years ago, Ashbourne is one of the top private colleges for A levels in the UK, distinguished by excellent exam results, individual attention, and excellent facilities. Its aim is to be the best college overall for A levels in the UK.
Ethos and culture
At Ashbourne, there are no uniforms, no assemblies, and no school dinners. The relations between teachers and students are informal, vital, and strong. This is encouraged by the lack of formality and the opportunities for engagement provided by small classes.
Ashbourne is a selective college, reserving the right to deny progression from year 12 to year 13 if academic standards are not met. All students are expected to work hard, with a '100%' homework submission rule and a shared ethos of aiming high.
