As a major global R&D hub, thepany invests heavily in cutting‑edge research, fostering an environment where talented scientists can make a meaningful impact on next‑generation therapies such as CAR-T.


Your new role

This is initially a 12 month contract position that may be extended.

You will be joining an experienced R&D team focused on the development of new CAR-T therapies for multiple disease areas, primarily within immunology.
This is a fully lab based role.

Key responsibilities will include:
1. Drive the design and generation of CAR constructs tailored to specific antigen targets.
2. Establish, refine, and troubleshoot methodologies for T‑cell engineering, including transduction and expansion workflows.
3. Execute a range of in‑vitro functional studies to assess CAR T performance, such as cytotoxicity, cytokine profiling, and durability.
4. Partner closely with multidisciplinary research teams to embed CAR T technologies into broader discovery programmes in immune modulation and tissue repair.
5. Interpret experimental oues,pile high‑quality technical documentation, andmunicate findings to scientific stakeholders.
6. Contribute scientific insight to the evolution of CAR T platforms by monitoring emerging technologies and integrating new approaches.



What you'll need to succeed

7. An MSc or PhD in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related life science discipline (or equivalent experience).
8. Demonstrated hands‑on experience in CAR T cell engineering, including vector design and in‑vitro functional evaluation - candidates who have gained this in an industry setting, eg pharma, biotech or CRO are strongly preferred.
9. Solid grounding in immune cell biology and mechanisms underpinning targeted cell depletion.
10. Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a dynamic, fast‑paced research setting.
11. Proven analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
12. Clear and confidentmunication skills, particularly in conveyingplex scientific concepts.

All applicants must currently hold the right to work in the UK until at least January 2027. Applicants who require visa sponsorship cannot be considered for this role.
