Senior Project Manager - Reading, Berkshire, RG1 8DBContract: PermanentSalary: 67,000 to 75,000 per annum depending on experienceAs a Senior Project Manager, you will bring a structured, delivery-focused approach and strong project management expertise to our Thames Valley team. Your strength lies in disciplined, outcome-led project delivery.In this role, you will manage a portfolio of complex, high-value (multi-million) wastewater projectsleading, influencing and collaborating with others to achieve successful outcomes. Youll play a key role as a driving force within our Capital Delivery Programme, contributing to Thames Waters Turnaround Plan and helping shape a more resilient future for our customers and communities.Join us and be part of delivering essential infrastructure that makes a real difference.As a Senior Project Manager, you will:Act as a client-side Senior Project Manager, leading projects from initial business need through to completion and handoverTake full accountability for project performance, including schedule, cost, quality and riskManage a portfolio of projects at varying lifecycle stages within a wider programme of delivery across the Thames ValleyChampion a strong health & safety culture, leading with a proactive and safety-first mindsetBuild effective partnerships with our supply chain, driving performance and collaborationDefine and shape project solutions, preparing compelling business cases that deliver best valueEngage and collaborate with internal teams, regulators and external stakeholders to enable smooth and timely deliveryDrive continuous improvement and support delivery against ambitious performance targetsCommercially manage contracts to achieve the best outcomes for Thames WaterEnsure governance and compliance throughout the project lifecycle, supporting seamless transition into operationsSupport and develop otherswhether through mentoring or formal line management, depending on your preferenceHybrid Clearwater Court, Reading, with 23 days per week on-site/office-based (role dependent)36 hours per week, Monday to FridayWhat you should bring to the roleEssential skills and experience:Proven experience delivering complex projects within the built environment, ideally within a regulated industryDegree in engineering or a related disciplineA structured, analytical and disciplined approach to project management (cost, schedule, risk and quality)Project management or business-related qualificationStrong leadership capability, with experience in influencing and coordinating cross-functional teamsSolid understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including CDM RegulationsExperience across the full project lifecyclefrom solution development and design through to construction and handoverStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of internal and external partnersConfident, risk-based decision-making skillsDesirable:Experience within the water or utilities sectorChartered Project Professional (or working towards)Experience mentoring or supporting the development of othersExtensive experience in a similar senior project management roleWhat's in it for you?Competitive salary from 67,000 to 75,000 per annum26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (plus bank holidays)Car AllowancePerformance-related pay plan directly linked to company performance measures and targetsGenerous Pension Scheme through AONPrivate Medical Health CareAccess to lots of benefits to help you take care of you and your familys health and wellbeing, and your finances from annual health MOTs and access to physiotherapy and counselling, to Cycle to Work schemes, shopping vouchers and life assurance.Find out more about our benefits and perks (Please note different T&Cs apply if on secondment)Who are we?Were the UKs largest water and wastewater company, with more than 16 million customers relying on us every day to supply water for their taps and toilets.
