Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor
* Hourly Rate: £27.42 (Umbrella)
* Location: Barnsley
* Job Type: Temporary (3-month rolling contract)
We are seeking a Repairs and Maintenance Surveyor to join our team on a temporary basis. This role involves carrying out surveys for day-to-day repairs on council properties in Barnsley. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in surveying council or social housing properties.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Conduct detailed surveys on council properties to assess the need for repairs.
* Prepare and present survey reports highlighting the required repairs and maintenance work.
* Work closely with the repairs team to ensure timely and efficient repair work.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations and safety standards.
* Address any tenant concerns related to the maintenance and repair work.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in carrying out surveys on council or social housing properties.
* Qualification in building, surveying, or a related field, or time-served experience in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of building regulations and safety standards.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
