Band 6 Clinical Educator – Cardiothoracic Critical Care Unit
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a band 6 Clinical Educator to join the current team on CTCCU.
In collaboration with the Practice Development Nurse (PDN), the Clinical Educator will coordinate, plan and deliver the critical care foundation programme and other education programmes.
Responsibilities:
* Coordinate, plan and deliver critical care education programmes and initiatives to the unit.
* Facilitate the development of clinical staff in the assessment of the care needs for all patients, ensuring that planned care is appropriate, implemented and evaluated.
* Act as an effective clinical leader and role model to enhance clinical competence and improve fundamentals of care within Cardiothoracic Critical Care.
* Develop, deliver and evaluate educational programmes for new and existing nursing staff and nursing assistants within Cardiothoracic Critical Care.
* Promote an environment that encourages learning and sustains personal and professional development of staff.
* Coordinate supervision assessment and development of clinical skills of the nursing team.
