Position Summary

Based in our Salford office, the Collections Coodinator – GBS Shared Services EMEA will be part of a wider team responsible for the collection activities for all Matthews International entities in Europe falling within the GBS (Global Business Services) team.

Job Responsibilities


* Corresponding and chasing customers for payment for sales invoices due utilizing FSCM Collections
* Allocating cash received in SAP
* Reconciling and issuing statements to customers
* Reviewing customer credit levels including reviewing credit reports and using FSCM Credit Management
* Supporting the business with custom customer data reports where required
* Assisting with doubtful debts provision calculations
* Ensure processes carried out are in accordance with SOX compliance and assist with statutory audit requests
* Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications / Requirements

* AAT qualified/student or similar level of knowledge/experience
* Experience in similar accounting role (12 months+)
* Extensive experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel
* Knowledge and prior use of SAP preferable
* Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
* Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in English language (written & verbal)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

* Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required
* Hybrid working – 2 days in the office per week
