We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate to join our Finance Team, on a full-time permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week in our office in Coleshill.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the Graduate Management Accountant will work within the group finance function and support the business as it goes through a period of change and rapid growth. The business has ambitious plans and is looking for an equally motivated individual to support them on their journey.

This opportunity would suit a confident, solutions-oriented individual who doesn't shy away from a challenge. This role offers significant scope for progression, with exposure to partnering across the business and the option for study support.


Key responsibilities/accountabilities

1. Maintain the systems and processes for producing management accounts.
2. Maintain up-to-date and meaningful balance sheet reconciliations and analyses.
3. Create and post journals covering sales, stock, property, fixed assets, and other areas.
4. Collate information and monthly results to ensure accurate and timely financial data for the management team.
5. Improve the efficiency, relevance, quality, and consistency of accounting and reporting processes.
6. Perform ad-hoc duties and projects.
7. Develop new reporting tools in Excel, dashboards, and financial summaries.
8. Ensure all KPIs and month-end reporting deadlines are met.
9. Suggest improvements to finance processes to ensure controls are robust and aligned with business requirements.


Knowledge, skills & experience

1. Graduate calibre with strong academic background.
2. Part-qualified accountant, either in practice or industry, or seeking to start study.
3. Applied knowledge of business reporting principles and practices.
4. Experience with SAGE finance system is an advantage.
5. Confident communicator (verbal and written) with a personable and professional manner, capable of building strong relationships at all levels.
6. Efficient time management and organizational skills.
7. High attention to detail.
8. Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
9. Proactive, with a good initiative.
10. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and with good judgment.
11. Strong decision-making skills.
