We have an exciting opportunity for a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join a well-established housing provider on a long-term temporary contract covering maternity leave until May 2026. This role offers hybrid working and the chance to make a real difference in themunity.
Key responsibilities:
1. Act as the main point of contact for customers, stakeholders, and colleagues within your patch, ensuring high levels of tenant satisfaction.
2. Undertake visits including viewings, audits, inspections, tenancy reviews, and attend evictions where necessary.
3. Manage tenancy issues such as abandoned dwellings, relationship breakdowns, assignments, unauthorised occupation, tenancy fraud, and failures to allow access.
4. Identify customers at risk of tenancy failure, assess needs, and implement interventions or signpost to external agencies.
5. Triage ASB and hate crime cases, actively manage your own caseload, and prepare and serve notices where required.
6. Carry out estate inspections and liaise with development teams to supportmunity improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Proven experience in a customer-facing tenancy management role within social housing
8. Experience managing low-level ASB and tenancy breaches.
9. Strong understanding of housing legislation, welfare reform, and safeguarding procedures.
10. Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and valid business insurance.
