The Role
AspenTech is a market leader providing software that optimizes process manufacturing in industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and others. The Inside Sales Account Manager (ISAM) will develop an understanding of AspenTech’s value to customers to overachieve sales targets in an assigned, quota-carrying territory. This role involves working as part of a sales team including business consulting, customer support, and sales operations.
The ISAM role is responsible for generating revenue by selling AspenTech’s products using proven sales methodologies. It offers an opportunity to join an industry-leading team and build a foundation of skills centered on our customer’s business goals, needs, and value.
Your Impact
* Consistently meet or exceed individual quota.
* Build a strong sales pipeline quickly as an energetic self-starter.
* Deliver results by generating new business and growing existing accounts.
* Communicate AspenTech’s value proposition, understanding engineering and process manufacturing terminology and concepts.
* Use effective selling and presentation techniques to influence customers.
* Proactively build and progress the sales pipeline through outbound calls to existing clients and prospects, develop relationships, renew and grow existing accounts, and displace competitors.
* Understand the customer’s buying process.
* Accurately forecast sales achievements.
* Negotiate contracts and business terms.
* Develop and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue.
* Support and mentor junior team members.
What You'll Need
* Bachelor's degree.
* Experience in lead development or sales roles.
* Positive attitude, integrity, discipline, organization, and results-driven mindset.
* Team-oriented, self-starter, willing to be coached.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Familiarity with Aspen or similar products and process industry knowledge is a plus.
* Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools like Salesforce.
