My client is a procurement organisation based in the North West of England who operate across various industries.
They are currently looking for a Head of Procurement to join their team and lead their procurement department. The Head of Procurement will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the procurement strategy, optimising supplier relationships, and driving cost-efficiency across the organisation. They are looking for a visionary leader who can lead and inspire the procurement team to achieve their strategic objectives.

Responsibilities include:
* Working with wider teams to support and provide procurement solutions as required.
* Sourcing, tendering, negotiating with suppliers as requested by the business.
* Presenting back solutions to internal customers and concluding contracts with suppliers
* Develop and implement category strategies and establish strategic relationships with suppliers.
* Implement a centralised procurement strategy to ensure efficient procurement administration support is provided to business stakeholders with feedback.
* Manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of goods and services meet the quality, service, and price required.
* Work with the Procurement team to streamline and improve sourcing processes.
The Ideal Head of Procurement Candidate:
* Have a proven track record working in senior procurement positions.
* MUST have experience within Foodservice or FMCG; GPO (Group Purchasing Organisation) experience is a bonus.
* Experience in managing a team.
* Experienced in fast paced procurement.
* CIPS qualified is desirable.
* Experienced in developing category strategy and strategic sourcing.
* Have a hands-on approach with strong negotiation and admin skills.
* Good communication and organisation skills.
