About the Role: Protocol Education is seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA) / SEND Support Worker / Youth Worker to join a specialist SEND provision in Basildon. The school supports students with a wide range of needs, including: Autism (ASD) Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH) Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD) Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) Key Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 and small-group support to help students progress academically and emotionally Encouraging confidence, independence, and personal development Using creative and engaging approaches to support individual learning styles Assisting with behaviour management using positive and supportive strategies Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for each student What We’re Looking For: A patient, caring, and resilient individual A genuine passion for supporting SEND students Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships Previous school experience is preferred but not required — we also welcome applicants with backgrounds in social care, youth work, or those looking to begin a career in education Role Details: Full-time, long-term position Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Competitive salary with training and development opportunities included If you are ready to take on a meaningful and fulfilling role, we encourage you to apply now.
