A standout opportunity has arisen for an experienced Underwriter to join a well-established and innovative financial services provider on a 6-month remote contract. This role focuses on high-volume flow deals and the ongoing enhancement of auto-decisioning capabilities to improve speed, consistency, and risk control.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
* Underwrite a high volume of lower-value (flow) deals, delivering fast, accurate decisions within agreed SLAs.
* Utilise and enhance auto-decisioning frameworks, working closely with technology and risk teams.
* Assess risk using a combination of financial analysis, policy rules, and automated models.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in underwriting processes and automation tools.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure credit decisions align with commercial objectives and compliance standards.
✅ About You:
* Solid experience in commercial or SME underwriting, ideally within invoice finance, asset-based lending, or working capital solutions.
* Strong grasp of flow underwriting models and auto-decisioning systems.
* Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and risk indicators.
