Salary range: £45,000 - £60,000
Location: Flexible with office; client work centred on the Southwest UK with occasional travel overseas.

We’re seeking professional Secure Network Consultants – someone who thrives in consultancy, leads with confidence, and delivers impactful solutions to high-profile clients, primarily in the Secure Government sector but with potential to expand across Aerospace, Defence, Transport and industry.
As a member of our team, you may work alongside clients on their premises, helping to reach shared goals by providing consultancy. There may also be opportunities to work from our offices, most likely in Gloucester although other locations can be discussed. You will have good communication skills, a flexible approach to new ways of working, a methodical and innovative mindset, openness to new technologies, and a motivated problem-solving attitude.
Responsibilities
* Defining requirements, planning and managing Network hardware maintenance, upgrades and patches.
* Vulnerability assessment and risk management planning.
* Implementation of network management tooling and systems.
* Network monitoring and diagnosing issues, identifying and resolving network incidents.
Essential Experience – Data Centre
* Familiarity with Data Centre health and safety protocols and understanding of Data Centre management principles and design standards.
* Experience in Data Centre Network Design (CCNP), Network Infrastructure Design (CNIPD) and creating Rack Layout Designs.
Essential Experience – Hardware
* Proven experience with Cisco routers and switches and experience in Network Management and Monitoring.
* Working knowledge of virtual machine environments and experience with Juniper devices.
Essential Experience – Software
* Experience with Cisco IOS, proficiency in Linux operating systems and Windows Server environments.
Desirable Experience
* Ability to produce technical documentation (Visio diagrams, configuration change logs, high-level designs).
* Project management skills – scope definition, timeline management, stakeholder engagement, familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
* Effective communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Incident response capabilities, including task prioritisation and post-incident reviews.
* Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
* Experience with firewall policies and zone-based firewalls.
* Understanding of Zero Trust network principles.
