About Us:
We are a leading civil engineering organisation dedicated to delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK. Octavius Regional Civil Engineering (ORCE) has been awarded the Highways Term Service Agreement to deliver highways improvement schemes across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole for BCP Council. The contract, valued at up to £50m, started in June 2023 and extends for the next four years, with the potential for a further six years to May 2033.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Quantity Surveyor within ORCE, you will be responsible for robust commercial management of various projects under the Highways Term Service Contract. You will oversee the financial and contractual performance of projects, engage with supply chain partners, and manage costs in accordance with contractual agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring and managing a Trainee Quantity Surveyor.

You'll collaborate with a team of highly motivated professionals delivering projects across a variety of frameworks with clients such as BCP Council, focusing on enhancing transportation infrastructure and improving the quality of life for residents.

About You:
You'll have the ability to work independently while also possessing excellent relationship-building skills, an analytical mindset, and the resilience to respond to changing priorities. Key Requirements:
* Proven success in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally in a regional civil engineering environment.
* NEC experience is a must, ideally option B.
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (or relevant experience).
* Ability to work independently without supervision.
* Evidence of building effective relationships with teams.
* Track record in successfully managing and delivering against deadlines.
* Good level of IT proficiency.
* General knowledge of cost management software and tools.
* Hold or working towards a professional membership with a recognised and relevant Professional body (i.e. RICS or CICES) (desirable).
* CSCS card holder (desirable).
* Understanding of Lean principles (desirable).
