We’re looking for a dedicated and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our team at a vibrant and forward-thinking partnership secondary school in Wallasey from September 2025.

What You’ll Be Doing – Daily Responsibilities
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining continuity of education across the school.
Every day, you’ll:
* Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects and key stages.
* Ensure students remain on task, engage with learning, and follow school expectations for behaviour and effort.
* Maintain a calm, safe, and focused classroom environment, using your behaviour management skills to support learning.
* Liaise with teaching staff and heads of department to feedback on lesson engagement and student behaviour.
* Provide occasional 1:1 or small group support, as directed, to reinforce key learning or help students catch up.
* Be a visible, approachable, and reliable presence around school – from classrooms to corridors to cover rooms.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in fast-paced environments, and takes pride in keeping the curriculum running smoothly, no matter the challenge.

We are looking for an experienced Cover Supervisor who can hit the ground running and be a confident presence in any classroom.
Essential experience includes:
* Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting.
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
* The ability to engage and motivate students across a range of subjects and year groups.
* A calm, flexible, and resilient approach.
* A genuine passion for supporting young people’s education and wellbeing.
This role is not suitable for candidates without prior classroom experience.
